TERRORIST MAJID KHAN FROM BALTIMORE WAS LINKED TO UZAIR PARACHA IN NYC AND WAS PLOTTING TO POISON THE WATER SUPPLY IN THE UPSTATE NY RESERVOIR; Majid Khan had worked at his family’s gas stations in Baltimore and was able to help Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (KSM) with research into a plan to blow up gas stations, the government said. Mohammed also asked Khan to research how to poison US water reservoirs, according to the government profile. The NYC water supply system from the Croton Reservoir is unfiltered.
Majid Khan was exposed to a radicalized element of Islam while in America. Majid Khan allegedly began attending secret prayer meetings at Baltimore’s Islamic Society, where he was influenced by individuals who sought out disaffected young people and encouraged them to join their group. US officials assert that Majid Khan’s first trip to Pakistan connected him to family members affiliated with Al-Qaeda.
According to officials, these family members introduced Khan to Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (KSM), the man accused of orchestrating the September 11, 2001 attacks, who later allegedly enlisted Khan in helping to support and plan terrorist attacks against the US and Israel. Government officials also believe that Khan, under KSM’s tutelage, was being trained to blow up gas stations, poison water reservoirs (New York City) and plotted to assassinate Pakistani President General Pervez Musharraf. Khan’s job at the family gas station played a role in the suspicions of U.S. intelligence analysts that he was part of a plot to blow up parts of the U.S. petroleum infrastructure
Uzair Paracha, 26, was convicted in Federal District Court in Manhattan in November of trying to help Majid Khan, a Pakistani member of Al Qaeda, obtain documents in 2003 to travel to the United States from Pakistan. The father of Uzair, Saifullah Paracha, is being held in Gitmo as an enemy combatant.
According to trial testimony and Justice Department documents, Mr. Khan had planned with top Qaeda leaders in Pakistan to bomb underground storage tanks at gas stations in Maryland.
Uzair Paracha impersonated Majid Khan, including posing as him during telephone calls with the Immigration and Naturalization Service and using his credit card to make it appear as though Mr. Khan had never left the United States, when in fact he had gone to Pakistan without notifying immigration authorities.

NO CASH crosses the Iraq border, the cars are the CASH. In one taped conversation, an individual bragged that he could easily make $100,000 a month from shipping stolen vehicles.
He described his outlays for expenses as follows: * $800 to $1,000 for each stolen vehicle, depending on the year and the type of vehicle, * $2,300 for the container and ocean freight (each container holds two vehicles), * $300 trucking expenses, and * $60 for the freight forwarder. A stolen vehicle will often net double its value overseas.
Therefore, a vehicle valued at $20,000 commands $40,000 in theinternational market. Shipping two containers (4 vehicles) amonth would net well over $100,000 (tax free).
