Posted: Saturday, December 10..... Rev Ian Garancheski was shocked to hear the news coming out of Los Angeles about his friend Tyler Brehm.
"It's just crazy," the Carlisle man said tonight. "This does not sound like anything he would do." Yet one look at the Los Angeles Times photograph confirmed for Garancheski that the mortally wounded gunman was Brehm, a 2004 graduate of Carlisle Area High School.
The online image depicts officers advancing on Brehm Friday at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Vine Street in Hollywood. Police say the 26-year-old man walked down the middle of a street, firing on passing cars with no clear target until police shot and killed him, the Associated Press reported.
The Times reported Brehm's ex-girlfriend, Alicia Alligood, 24, told KTLA-TV Channel 5 that she and Brehm dated for four years before breaking up this month. KTLA reported that Brehm's Facebook page revealed he ended a relationship four days ago.
"I knew they were in love, but I didn't know they had broken up," Garancheski said. He identified Alligood as Brehm's fiancee and explained how a little over a year ago the couple moved to California where Alligood was doing some modeling.
Garancheski is listed as a friend on Brehm's Facebook page. Though Brehm was a few years older, they both attended Carlisle High School at the same time and had mutual friends on the hockey team. He added Brehm played lacrosse in high school, more from this source...
Muslims generally cast dogs in a negative light because of their ritual impurity. Though dogs are not allowed for pets, they are allowed to be kept if used for work, such as guarding the house or farm, or when used for hunting purposes. According to a generally unaccepted Sunni tradition attributed to Muhammad, black dogs are evil, or even devils, in animal form...note Tyler Brehm in photos above hugging his black and white dog.
Some in the Anti-Jihad circle of the lunatic fringe such as Jihad Watch boss Robert Spencer and Atlas Shrugs blogger Pamela Geller are painting Tyler Brehm as a "Muslim Convert" and the shooting an act of terrorism based on what a supposed witness (who barely speaks English) heard Tyler Brehm say. In what I have learned in working on support of terrorism cases in Tampa and Sarasota Fl with law enforcement is that Muslims do not usually have dogs as pets nor do they post photos of themselves hugging dogs to their Facebook page, case closed.
