New Year Same Story: Honor Killer Yaser Said Still On The Run 5 Years After Murdering Daughters Amina and Sarah He Is Possible NYC Cab Driver.

"HONOR KILLER" YASER SAID: TRACKING A COLD-BLOODED MURDERER. New Year but same story on Honor Killer Yaser Said who is still on the loose 5 years after murdering his daughters Amina and Sarah Said in Texas, Yaser Said could very possibly be a NYC cab driver.
Are the FBI and the NYPD actively searching for this murdering, pedophile Yaser Said?  The NYPD does not have a wanted poster or any information about Yaser Said on their website even though one cab driver told INSIDE EDITION’s Lisa Guerrero he may have seen Yaser Said driving a cab at Newark Airport.
The FBI website indicates that Yaser Said has relatives in the Metro New York City area and that he may be hiding there; "Yaser Abdel Said is wanted for murder. On January 1, 2008, Said took his two teenaged daughters for a ride in his taxi cab, under the guise of taking them to get something to eat. He drove them to Irving, Texas, where he allegedly shot both girls to death. They died of multiple gunshot wounds. Said has ties to New York, Texas, and Egypt.  Yaser Said may have fled to New York or Egypt."
NY POST...SARASOTA, Fla. -- Texas 'honor killing' suspect could be hiding in plain sight as NYC cabbie, investigator says. The Egyptian-born cab driver suspected in the 2008 "honor killing" of his two daughters in Texas because they were dating non-Muslim boys may be working at his old trade in New York, according to a private investigator who has tracked him.  Yaser Said fled his Dallas-area home after allegedly shooting daughters Amina, 18, and Sarah Said, 17, on New Year's Day in 2008 and is now on the FBI's list of most-wanted fugitives. Although he took his Egyptian passport and $9,000 when he bolted, Bill Warner, a private detective who has worked for Said's sister-in-law, believes he never made it out of the country. With family ties to New York and a large community of his countrymen to blend into, Warner believes the odds are good the suspected killer is behind the wheel of a car for hire in the Big Apple.
NY DAILY NEWS...Texas dad wanted in possible ‘honor killing’ of daughters may be hiding in New York City as taxi driver: private investigator says. alleged killer may be at the wheel of a New York City taxi cab. A private eye searching for Yasir Said, a Texas man accused of gunning down his teenage daughters for dating non-Muslim boys, says he suspects the fugitive is driving a hack.  “It’s all he knows and I wouldn’t be surprised one bit if he’s there working as a taxi driver,” Bill Warner told FOX News. “He could blend in at a metropolis like New York.” An Egyptian immigrant, Said was placed on the FBI’s most-wanted list after the alleged “honor killing” of daughters Amina, 18, and Sarah Said, 17, on New Year’s Day in 2008. They were found slain in a cab that Said had borrowed.

INSIDE EDITION with LISA GUERRERO.....INSIDE EDITION Investigates An Honor Killing. Private Detective Bill Warner, who has been following the case, believes Said may be living under the radar somewhere in the New York City area.  That's because Said's brother lives in a small town about an hour outside the city.  Warner believes Said may be driving a cab, working the city's airports.  "Why is that?" Lisa Guerrero asked PI BillWarner.  "That's all he's ever known," Warner said. "Yaser Said has only ever worked as a cab driver for the last 25 years. That is his only profession."

Inside Edition brought PI Bill Warner to one of New York's airports to follow up on some of his leads in the case, asking a number of cab drivers if they recognized photos of Said. One cab driver told INSIDE EDITION’s Lisa Guerrero he may have seen Said driving a cab at Newark Airport. "Last year you think you've seen him?" Guerrero asked the cab driver.  "Yeah, I think I've seen him before," the taxi driver said.  He even pointed out one of Said's most recognizable accessories - his sunglasses.  "Yeah, they say he wears the glasses all the time," Guerrero told the cab driver. Warner believes Said may be driving a cab, working the city's airports. "This man is a danger. He is a threat to society," said Warner.

FOX NEWS NEW YORK.....Yaser Said Honor Killer. On its wanted poster, the FBI describes the 6-foot-2, 180-pound Said as wearing a mustache and dark sunglasses, both indoors and outside. He frequents Denny's and I-Hop restaurants and smokes Marlboro Light 100 cigarettes. He is believed to be either 50 or 55 years old, according to the FBI. "Additionally, Said is known to carry a handgun in his taxi cab at all times," the poster warns. "It has also been reported that Said always carries a weapon with him, to include knives."

Yaser Said’s brother, Yassein Said, lives just north of the city in Westchester County and the FBI notes Yaser Said's ties to the area on his wanted poster, saying he "may have fled to New York or Egypt." Warner, who is based in Sarasota, Fla., believes the money Said took would not have been enough to flee to his native Egypt and set up a new life.  “He was not financially solvent,” the investigator said, “He did not own the cab he drove. He didn’t have the financial strength to leave.” “The brothers are really tight, so it’s likely they assisted him in some way,” Warner also said, citing that a few years ago he located a post office box in Westchester County under the names of Yaser Said and his brother.

New York's Taxi and Limousine Commission, which regulates yellow cabs as well as livery cars, requires criminal background checks conducted by the state for anyone applying for a license, according to a commission spokesman. But Said could easily rent a licensed car under the table or simply use his own vehicle to pick up fares illicitly, according to Fernando Mateo, president of the New York State Foundation of Taxi Drivers.
