New AQAP English-Language Mag 'Palestine' Lists Targets For Terrorist Car Bomb Attacks Such as Times Square NY and Casinos in Las Vegas.

SITE INST....Times Square NY is the #1 target for an Al-Qaeda car bomb terror attack, again. Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) released a new English-language publication inciting for car bombs and provided a list of Western targets for jihadists to attack with Times Square #1. The publication, entitled "Palestine: Betrayal of the Guilty Conscience" and posted on Twitter on August 16, 2014, contains Gaza-related articles from previous issues of AQAP's "Inspire Magazine" and speeches from al-Qaeda (AQ) leaders inspiring lone-wolf attacks against U.S. and global interests. The magazine features an article titled "Car Bombs Inside America," which incites for "Iraqi Style car bombs" that are "prepared by lone Mujahid in the US."  see

Originally published in the twelfth issue of "Inspire Magazine," the article serves as a manual for creating a bomb with a newly added section, titled "Examples of Targets," for lone-wolf attackers.  The section is divided into three categories designated to America, Britain, and the global community. And while it includes typical examples like casinos and Times Square in New York City, it also includes newer, more specific American targets such as Georgia Military College, United States Air Force Academy, and the General Atomics headquarters in San Diego, CA.

"NYPD On Alert For Times Square Car Bomb Plot Near 9/11 Anniversary". The article also featured a quote attributed to Faisal Shahzad, the terrorist confessing to the attempted car bombing in Times Square on May 1, 2010. In the statemnet, Shahzad talked down the approach of anti-Western peaceful protesting, stating, "You would have to agree to the fact that there's a force out there that's fighting the West, and is defeating them."

On May 1, 2010, Shahzad drove a Nissan Pathfinder SUV, loaded with the improvised explosive and incendiary devices, to Manhattan and parked the Pathfinder in Times Square in the vicinity of 45th Street and Seventh Avenue. After parking the Pathfinder, Shahzad attempted to begin the detonation process of the improvised explosive and incendiary devices which did not ignite.

In a nine-page spread entitled, “How to make a bomb in the kitchen of your mom,” the magazine details a do-it-yourself, illustrated guide on assembling a pressure-cooker bomb similar to the ones used in the Boston Marathon bombings.

The online publication, called “Palestine-Betrayal of the Guilty Conscience Al-Malahem” and put out by the media arm of Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, or AQAP, calls for Muslims around the world to follow “the recipe” provided to set off car bombs in crowded venues. It includes a timeline of "selected jihadi operations." “The timeline concludes with the date 201?’ and blank spaces and question marks for the photo and information of the next attack -- implying that it is coming soon.”
