'Electronic Jihad a Blessed Field' Propaganda Fueled ISIS and Al-Qaeda Terrorism Led by Americans Samir Khan, Ahmad Abousamra and Tarek Mehanna

'TOLD YOU SO': For years I have pointed out and did my best to shut down Jihad websites whose online propaganda efforts have recruited wannabe terrorists from the the US and the West. The 'Electronic Jihad a Blessed Field' has fueled ISIS and Al-Qaeda terrorism for years led by Americans Samir Khan Ahmad Abousamra and Tarek Mehanna.

NY POST: Ahmad Abousamra’s computer skills are being used for recruiting, as he produces the slick if ghastly videos of American beheadings and posts them on Twitter and Facebook. Ahmad Abousamra the American who coordinates the Islamic State’s online propaganda efforts was caught on tape by the FBI in 2006 plotting “peanut butter-and-jelly sandwiches” from “culinary school” — code for terrorist attacks and training camps. The phone and online conversations give a chilling look inside the head of a homegrown terrorist. The CIA says at least 2,000 of the estimated 31,500 jihadists the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria has recruited are from America and other Western nations. Ahmad Abousamra, the ISIS recruiter-propagandist who sits on the FBI’s most-wanted list, had communicated with a cell of jihadists in the Boston area.

Tarek Mehanna (on R.) with two pals mocking Ground Zero NYC. One of Abousamra’s confederates, Tarek Mehanna — who is serving 17 years in federal prison after being found guilty of translating material for al Qaeda in Iraq, the precursor to ISIS — was particularly thrilled that 9/11 ringleader Mohamed Atta was once in Boston.  In an online conversation recorded by federal agents, he speculated that maybe “we saw him at the ISB [Islamic Society of Boston] or something.” The Post reported last week at least eight notorious extremist Muslims — including Abousamra and the Boston Marathon bombers — attended the same Cambridge, Mass., Islamic Society mosque.

Tarek Mehanna and Ahmad Abousamra translated the lessons of “39 Ways to Serve and Participate in Jihad” and posted it on a list serve called At-Tibyan Publications, where English-speaking Muslims praised al Qaeda. One of those lessons is to “assist the jihad on the Internet,” advising that “electronic jihad…is a blessed field.”  Authorities believe their translations were “very important and successful” in attracting English-speaking fighters to ISIS.

10/21/09, BOSTON HERLAD on Tarek Mehanna....A 27-year-old man from Sudbury has been arrested on charges he planned terrorism attacks inside and outside the United States, including a plot to use automatic weapons to open fire at shoppers and emergency responders in shopping mall attacks, federal prosecutors said today. Tarek Mehanna, of 6 Fairhaven Circle, is accused of conspiring with Ahmad Abousamra and others to obtain the automatic weapons needed to carry out a mall ambush in which they planned to open fire at random, said Acting U.S. Attorney Michael K. Loucks.

Tariq Mehanna is/was blogger Abu Sayaba, who had run the 'Iskandari' blog which posted English language translations of classical Islamic texts in support of violent jihad. And warns Muslim men that women are forbidden, especially "women of this country." Samir Khan of North Carolina, a violent jihad supporter, wrote about the arrest on his blog. Samir Khan had operated InshallahShaheed, an openly pro-jihad, pro-Osama website out of his parents home in Charlotte NC.  Samir Khan went onto head up propaganda for Al-Qaeda in Yemen with Anwar al-Awlaki before they were killed in September 2011 during a joint CIA-DOD drone attack.
