LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – Parents of a teenage girl missing since early September are begging someone to come forward with information. Helen Parr, 17, went missing from her home on Shelby Road near the Louisville Zoo either late at night on Sept. 2 or in the early morning hours of Sept 3, she is 5' 4" tall and 125 lbs with sandy blonde hair. “At first, we thought maybe she’d taken the dogs out in the backyard or was sitting on the deck,” her father Robert Parr said. However, Helen was nowhere to be found. “Your mind kind of goes into overdrive at that point,” he said. The Parrs say Helen left most of her belongings behind. The only thing they can’t find is her learner’s permit. Since then, LMPD has activated Operation Return Home. “As you're giving a report to the officer, and he starts asking if she has dental records, it kind of hits home,” Parr said. Her family has hired a private investigator to help find information about where Helen might be, but so far, there have been no leads and no tips, she is just another young female "Missing in America."
