Photo above Jack Ruby shoots Lee Harvey Oswald in Dallas on November 24, 1963. Kilgallen, who wrote a widely syndicated column for the New York Journal-American, was the only reporter ever to interview Jack Ruby, who shot Oswald, and published Ruby’s closed-door testimony to the Warren Commission before its official release. Her enemies ranged from Frank Sinatra to FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover. The morning after Kilgallen appeared on the hit TV game show, she was found dead in her Manhattan apartment, naked under a robe and still in make-up. The Medical Examiner ruled it an accidental mix of booze and sleeping pills. But Shaw contends Kilgallen was drugged. He cites a powdery residue on a glass by the bed, and records obtained from the National Archives showing two additional barbiturates in her system.

Weeks before her death, Shaw learned, Kilgallen bought a gun for self-protection and planned a second trip to New Orleans to investigate Mafia don Carlos Marcello. “If the wrong people knew what I know about the JFK assassination on November 22, 1963, it would cost me my life,” she confided to hairdresser Charles Simpson, one of several witnesses who gave videotaped interviews unearthed by Shaw.
Actress Marilyn Monroe was murdered on August 4, 1962 by the Mob in much the same fashion as Dorothy Kilgallen as she too knew too much about the mob plans to kill JFK on November 22, 1963. The killing is said to have been masterminded by American union leader Jimmy Hoffa and Chicago mafia boss Sam Giancana, who were being investigated as part of a crackdown on organized crime ordered by Robert Kennedy, the then US General. According to a new book, mafia hit-men murdered the legendary Hollywood star in 1962 by inserting deadly drugs into her body. It is claimed that Hoffa and Giancana were incensed that a member of the Kennedy family should decide to wage war on the mafia after the organization had been used to ensure victory for Jack Kennedy in his campaign to become President. The claims have reignited the theory that Monroe’s death was not an open-and-shut case of suicide using barbiturates, as had been stated by the authorities following her death.
Three top “Mafia” figures—Sam Giancana and Johnny Rosselli of Chicago and Santo Trafficante, Jr. of Tampa— along with Carlos Marcello were key figures linked to the JFK assassination. In fact word has it that the assassination of JFK was to have taken place in Tampa prior to Dallas. “Threats on Kennedy Made Here,” Tampa Tribune 11-23-63; “Man Held in Threats to JFK,” Miami Herald 11-24-63 — “young man linked to the Fair Play for Cuba Committee” it is bylined “Tampa (UPI),” so it may well have appeared in other newspapers; and, if so, the fact that it reprints just a few sentences from the Tampa Tribune article may have caused earlier researchers to overlook it. CLICK HERE TO SEE THE TAMPA TRIBUNE ARTICLE OF 11/23/1963. No news reports about the Tampa threat appeared while JFK was alive–just a tiny article the day after this death; by the following day the Tampa Chief of Police and Secret Service weren’t talking to the press about it. On the very day Secret Service Agent Abraham Bolden went to Washington to tell Warren Commission staff about the Tampa and Chicago attempts, and other Secret Service laxity, he was framed by the Chicago Mafia and arrested. He was sent to prison for six years, even though his main accuser later admitted committing perjury against Bolden. On 14th January, 1992, the New York Post claimed that Santo Trafficante, Jimmy Hoffa and Carlos Marcello had all been involved in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Frank Ragano was quoted as saying that at the beginning of 1963 Hoffa had told him to take a message to Trafficante and Marcello concerning a plan to kill Kennedy. When the meeting took place at the Royal Orleans Hotel, Ragano told the men: “You won’t believe what Hoffa wants me to tell you. Jimmy wants you to kill the president.” He reported that both men gave the impression that they intended to carry out this order.
The assassination of that N…..Lover JFK was engineered by Carlos Marcello, longtime Mafia boss in New Orleans. That theory is far from new. There’s evidence that Attorney General Robert Kennedy, the president’s brother, believed it. Authors Lamar Waldron and Thom Hartmann broaden the theme. Carlos Marcello had a special grudge against the Kennedys because Robert who fought organized crime once had him deported to an uncomfortable exile in Central America. Born in Tunisia, Carlos Marcello carried false papers that gave Guatemala as his country of origin. He found his way back to the United States.
The elimination of Robert Kennedy from the 1968 presidential race paved the way for victory for Richard Nixon the man Carlos Marcello had always supported. In fact in the 1960 race between Kennedy and Nixon, Carlos Marcello had donated $500,000 towards Nixon’s campaign. With Robert Kennedy dead and Nixon’s accession to the presidency on Jan 20, 1969, Carlos Marcello had now a thread even to the White House. During the 1960s New Orleans-based mob boss Carlos Marcello used the right wing KKK as enforcement muscle in the rural Louisiana Concordia Parish as reported by Matthew Barnidge for the Daily Comet: FBI documents reveal that the New Orleans-based Carlos Marcello organized-crime syndicate had, by that time, reached into every corner of the state of Louisiana, including in Concordia Parish.
