Terrorism Expert PI Bill Warner talks with News Channel 8 about Airport Security Vulnerability, Shooting Today at Fort Lauderdale Airport

Terrorism Expert PI Bill Warner talks with News Channel 8 about Airport Security Vulnerability back in June of 2016 about easy access at baggage pick up area. Shooting Today at Fort Lauderdale Airport.

The suspect in custody was identified as Esteban Santiago, Florida Sen. Bill Nelson told reporters. He said Santiago was carrying a military ID, but did not elaborate.

According to CBS News, law enforcement sources say in November 2016, Esteban Santiago walked into an FBI office in Anchorage and told agents he was being forced to fight for ISIS. He was hospitalized in a psychiatric facility after police were called there. Santiago served a year in Iraq and returned a different person.
"The shooter was a passenger on a Canadian flight with a checked gun,"  Broward County Commissioner Chip LaMarca wrote on Facebook. "He claimed his bag and took the gun from baggage and went into the bathroom to load it. Came out shooting people in baggage claim." "It was very surreal," John Schlicher, a witness, told Fox News. "He did not say a word." He described the shooter as a slender man with dark hair, likely in his 30s, wearing a Star Wars T-shirt.
While speaking to Shepard Smith live on Fox News, Schlicher said he heard crews ordering passengers to take cover. He spoke over the phone while ducked down on the floor. The gunman apparently got down on the ground and waited for police to arrive after he ran out of bullets, a witness told CBS News. Video posted on Instagram appeared to show several people wounded in the baggage claim area of the terminal.
One person appeared to be lying in a pool of blood with a head wound. According to NBC Miami, eyewitnesses reported that the active shooter – who is now in custody – killed the five people and injured eight in a baggage claim area. Eyewitnesses described a horrific scene in which the gunman, perhaps wearing a Star Wars T-shirt – randomly executed people by shooting them in the head.
Law enforcement source: #FortLauderdale shooter is 26 year old U.S. citizen, born in NJ,” reported Fox News’ Rick Leventhal on Twitter. He had lived in Alaska and Naples, Florida, reported NBC Miami. According to the Mirror, the shooter “was apprehended by authorities when he stopped shooting to reload, witnesses said.” He was born in March 1990.
