Abdurasul Hasanovich Juraboev, 24, a resident of Brooklyn and citizen of Uzbekistan, had a ticket to travel to Istanbul next month and was arrested in Brooklyn, federal prosecutors said. Habibov employed Saidakhmetov last fall and winter and said he would help fund his travel, though he did not mention a specific sum of money, prosecutors said. The two were spotted in Brooklyn purchasing a ticket for Saidakhmetov to travel to Turkey, officials said. The documents show that Habibov was financially backing the other two suspects, including the expenses of buying a weapon.

Federal prosecutors said in a news release Friday that 52-year-old Gregory Hubbard, 31-year-old Dayne Christian and 50-year-old Darren Jackson of West Palm Beach Fl are charged with conspiring to join the Islamic State. An FBI report says the three told an informant last year about plans to go to Syria, and spoke approvingly of terror attacks in Orlando; San Bernardino, California; and elsewhere. It also says they talked about attacking the White House or Pentagon but took no specific steps. Investigators said Hubbard expressed support for ISIS and told a confidential source for the FBI that he wanted to travel to Syria for the purpose of engaging in jihad. Hubbard introduced Christian and Jackson to the source. The suspects then provided weapons and firearms. The FBI said they apprehended Jackson after he dropped off Hubbard at the airport. Christian was later arrested at his job. Hubbard, also known as “Jibreel,” and Jackson, who went by the first name of “Daoud,” are West Palm Beach residents. Christian, also known as “Shakur,” lives in Lake Park.

Santiago, 26, practiced firing his semiautomatic handgun at a range in Alaska during the months before he allegedly killed five people and wounded six others at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, FBI agents testified, according to The Orlando Sentinel. “At various points…he said he carried out the attack because of government mind control,” prosecutor Ricardo Del Toro said. “But he later said he did so because of [ISIS]…after participating in jihadi chat roms.” He was on no psychiatric drugs, FBI agents said, only taking anti-anxiety medication and an herbal supplement to aid with sleep.
