Does Murder of Travis Combs Link to Disappearance of Teen Jabez Spann in Newtown Fl, FBI Takes Over Case

UPDATED FBI takes over case, Tuesday 10/04/2017 SARASOTA, Fla. (WFLA) – October 4th, 2017 The Federal Bureau of Investigation confirmed that it is helping in the search for Jabez Spann. The Sarasota teen vanished without a trace on Labor Day. A spokeswoman said the FBI is assisting state and local law enforcement partners in this investigation. A month later, Spann’s family, friends are still searching and spreading word of the 14-year-old’s disappearance as detectives try to figure out the exact circumstances that led to it. The Sarasota Police Department says it is not ruling out foul play in the case, but has not received any indication that Jabez was injured.
UPDATE: September 29th, 2017, Let's get real here, my article here is in NO WAY disparaging of missing teen Jabez Spann who as by all accounts is the all-American kid, football player, good student, on the straight and narrow and not deserving of what apparently has happened to him. I have been a licensed private investigator in Sarasota Fl for over 22 years, I am well aware as to what goes on. My article is published in the attempt to produce any leads that I could pass onto the Sarasota Police Department (SPD). If you are afraid or do not want to contact the SPD you can text me at 941-926-1926 or email me at wbipi@verizon.net and I will pass on any leads as to what happened to Jabez Spann to the SPD.
UPDATE: Friday, September 29th, 2017, 5:09 pm....Here's the deal, yes, I am getting calls about the murder of Travis Combs and a link to missing Newtown teen Jabez Spann, keep calling. You do not have to ID yourself, yes do call from a blocked number if you want, it don't matter to me, I will forward any info to SPD Detective Kim Kim Laster at 941-364-7327. I am not law enforcement and I will not trace your call. I got a voicemail from someone today who told me that Jabez did actually witness the shooting of Travis Combs on August 28th, Jabez was in the area and near the shooting. My informant told me that on September 3rd Jabez told a 'guy he knows' that he saw who shot and killed Travis Combs, the very next day on September 4th Jabez goes missing. "Better Call Bill 941-926-1926."
Do you believe in the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy or just plain old coincidences, well I don't especially when it involves a missing teen who just happened to live a 2 minute walk from where a guy involved with the sale of drugs in Newtown was found dead (most likely shot). SARASOTA -- The death of Travis Combs whose body was found Monday, August 28, 2017 is now being called a homicide.

The Sarasota Police Department reports that Travis Combs, 31, was found dead at about 9:20 p.m. near 22nd Street and Palmadelia Avenue. There is no indication that the public is at risk. The investigation is ongoing. Detectives are not releasing additional information at this time but ask anyone with information on the case to call Detective Kim Laster at 941-364-7327 or Crime Stoppers 941-366-TIPS. Missing Teen Jabez Spann was living only 453 feet from where the body of Travis Combs was found.
From surveillance today Thursday 9/28/2017 in Newtown near 22nd Street and 23rd Street, it was observed that there is an unobstructed view from the house on 23rd Street where Jabez Spann was staying to the street corner where Travis Combs was murdered near 22nd Street and Palmadelia Avenue, shot in the back, on 8/28/2017 at about 9:20 p.m. Jabez Span was staying on 23rd Street just two houses from the corner of 23rd Street and N. Orange Ave. It is very possible that if Jabez Spann was home Tuesday night on 8/28/2017 that he could have seen someone shoot Travis Combs or at least see a car speed away onto N. Orange Ave from the shooting that he recognized. It is only 453 feet from the house where Jabez Spann was staying on 23rd Street to the street corner where Travis Combs was murdered near 22nd Street and Palmadelia Avenue.
Travis L. Travis Combs had a passenger in his car when arrested in May 2014, a black male, age 36 with a violent history with robbery and drug arrests, he is also a registered sex offender who molested a child under 12, he is linked to a drug house in the 2100 block of Banneker Way SRQ.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Sarasota Police Department are offering a $6,000 reward for information leading to the return of 14-year-old Jabez Spann. Anyone with information is asked to call the tip line at 941-366-TIPS (8477) or 941-316-1201. Does Murder of Travis Combs Link to Disappearance of Teen Jabez Spann in Newtown Fl, did Jabez see something or know someone who could of killed Travis Combs, maybe payback for prior drug deals gone bad? Cornelius Spann is now back living in the 1400 block of 20th Street Newtown as of June 18th 2017, just 3 blocks south of where Jabez Spann was living on 23rd Street, was Jabez Spann heading to his house when he went missing on September 4th?

NEWTOWN NO SNITCHIN: Sarasota Police Chief Bernadette DiPino said the case has left her department frustrated. DiPino said there are areas her officers want to search, but they are private property and without probable cause, officers cannot conduct those searches without consent (NEWTOWN). “We are doing everything we can, but it’s been very frustrating that we are not getting information from our community (NEWTOWN),” she said. “So we are asking again and reaching out to the citizens in our community to please consider coming forward.” DiPino is convinced someone in the community (NEWTOWN) knows what happened to Jabez, and so is his mother, Tawana Spann.
