CBS NEWS: U.S. intelligence agencies believe Russia news outlet, RT, used disinformation warfare to try to interfere with the 2016 presidential election. An American intelligence report finds that one of the weapons in the Kremlin's arsenal was its state-run news network, RT, formerly Russia Today, which can be seen in the U.S. "60 Minutes" correspondent Lesley Stahl spoke with RT editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan about the allegations. Watch the full report Sunday on "60 Minutes."
CBS News "60 Minutes" recently went to Moscow to meet with the head of RT, Margarita Simonyan. We arrived just as the Justice Department was insisting that RT
I pointed out, way back in August 2012 at the RNC in Tampa Fl that RT aka Russia Today was Fake News, now 'It's Hitting The Fan'. The company that runs the U.S. version of RT, the Russian state-owned outlet originally known as Russia Today, must register with the Justice Department as a foreign agent, signaling that all of their content would be labeled as propaganda from Moscow. In a report, RT did not name the company that the Department of Justice (DOJ) has compelled to file paperwork under the Foreign Agents Registration Act. RT, a Moscow-headquartered website and television channel that the U.S. government says is a propaganda outlet for the Kremlin, will register with U.S. authorities as a foreign agent, its editor said. The registration follows a months-long back-and-forth between RT and the Justice Department over whether it was required by U.S. law to register as an agent of the Russian government. “The American Justice Department has left us with no choice,’’ RT’s editor in chief Margarita Simonyan said in a statement posted on the organization’s website. “Our lawyers say that if we don’t register as a foreign agent, the director of our company in America could be arrested, and the accounts of the company could be seized.
RT also known as Russia Today is a government-funded (COMMUNIST) global multilingual television news network based in Russia and London UK. It was founded in 2005 as Russia Today by the government-owned news agency RIA Novosti. RT shows round-the-clock news bulletins, documentaries, talk shows, and debates, as well as sports news and cultural programs on Russia. The Commie goons at RT do not like my portrayal of the Anonymous and Occupy ‘Black Bloc’ as dirtbags and domestic terrorists, well in this country (USA) when you try to blow up a bridge used everyday by innocent people in Cleveland Ohio you are a terrorist.
Reuters / Brian Blanco ….The Ruskies at RT say; Are computer hackers, political activists and an underground army of anarchists preparing to overthrow next week’s Republican National Convention in Tampa, August 27th 2012? Police in Florida seem to think so, and are taking every precaution to prepare for violence. Acting on the assumption that hacktivists with the loose-knit, international Anonymous collective will wage a war next week on Tampa with the help of weapon yielding anarchists angry at the Republican Party and American establishment all together, law enforcement agencies in Florida are in a hurry to secure the Sunshine State in the event that a mass orchestrated action disrupts the GOP’s national convention. Authorities had originally deciphered YouTube videos uploaded by alleged Anonymous members to suggest that the group was calling for others to provoke criminal acts across Tampa. The discovery earlier this week of bricks and pipes on a Tampa rooftop has further led authorities to assume that anarchists will engage in a mass violent uprising to coincide with the RNC. Florida-based private investigator Bill Warner is weary, to say the least. He doesn’t see the bricks and pipes as possible construction site components, but weapons or destruction. After all, not every building is erected with bricks and
